Dr. Thomas comes to Williamsburg from Norristown, PA. He graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in biology. He then worked toward a Masters degree in Biochemistry at West Virginia University. Following in his father's footsteps, he attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he received a degree in Visual Science and earned his Doctorate of Optometry.
After practicing as an Optometrist for several years, Dr. Thomas realized he had a passion to further his education and went to medical school at West Virginia University. Upon completing medical school he did an internship at Crozier – Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. Upon completing his internship, he did his residency in ophthalmology at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where he was chief resident. Dr. Thomas did a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard University in Boston, MA.
Dr. Thomas held a faculty appointment at West Virginia University and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Thomas specializes in treating macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and other medical and surgical retinal conditions.
Dr. Thomas and his wife, Victoria reside in Williamsburg. Dr. Thomas is active in martial arts. He is a second degree black belt. He enjoys music, golf, and outdoor activities.
