Matthew P Rauen MD





Matthew P. Rauen, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Research at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He then received his medical degree from the University of Iowa where he also completed his ophthalmology residency. Next, Dr. Rauen completed a cornea, external disease and refractive surgery fellowship, also at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Rauen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Cornea Society. He continues to publish in scientific journals and speaks on eye care and cornea transplantation techniques throughout the country. He has been designated as a “Young Physician Leader” by the Cornea Society, serves on the Eye Bank Association of America (EBBA) Advisory Board, and serves on the AAO content committee in the field of Cornea Surgery.
