Ashley N San Filippo MD

Dr. San Filippo is a board certified glaucoma specialist, cataract surgeon, and comprehensive ophthalmologist.  She received her bachelor's degree in Integrated Life Sciences from Kent State University and her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University.  She completed a medical internship at the State University of New York at Buffalo and an ophthalmology residency at University of Missouri-Kansas City.  She returned to Ohio to complete a glaucoma fellowship at The Ohio State University. 

During residency and fellowship, Dr. San Filippo contributed to numerous ophthalmology publications and presentations, including several related to the use of technology in ophthalmology.  She continues to regularly speak at local and state ophthalmology, optometry, and ophthalmic technician meetings. 

She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Ohio Ophthalmological Society, and the Columbus Medical Association.  She continues to be involved in education of medical students and residents as Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University, Clinical Assistant Professor of Optometry at The Ohio State University, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Ohio University. 

In her free time, Dr. San Filippo is an avid runner and Ohio State fan, and she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
